Country Gardens – Independent Living –

Would you like to live at Country Gardens in an independent dwelling nestled in the pines, in the quiet little prairie community of Rosthern where you are only five minutes from downtown and a comfortable driving distance from two larger centers, namely Saskatoon and Prince Albert?

Country Gardens is a closely knit cluster of 8 suites with four units under one roof. The grounds are spacious with many opportunities available if you choose. Country Gardens is located on the Mennonite Youth Farm grounds along with Pineview Manor, Sunrise Place and the Mennonite Nursing Home.

During the summer there are Youth and Adult Bible camps on the grounds. It is also home to the old Eigenheim Church and the now famous Corn Maze. There is also a lovely log cabin across from the Country Gardens suites which is used frequently for picnics by church groups and various family celebrations.

There are two types of suites available: large and small.

  • The large suites each have two bedrooms, 1½ bathrooms, a den, living/dining room, kitchen (with space for a dishwasher), and a laundry area. An attached garage and utilities are included in the rent. Phone and satellite are the responsibility of the tenant.
  • The small suites are much like the large suites, but do not have the den, the half bath, or the dishwasher space. Utilities are included in the rent. However, phone and satellite services are the responsibility of the tenant.

The community of Rosthern offers the services of a handi-bus to help facilitate transportation for shopping and other appointments. Rosthern has many other conveniences and vendors such as a large grocery store (which also offers delivery service), a bakery, drug stores, a hardware store, several places to dine out, an art gallery, gift and flower shop, financial institutions, beauty shops, post office, medical center, hospital, ambulance services, and much more.

Rosthern also has an elementary school, as well as a high school, and is home to Rosthern Junior College. There are numerous churches in town. Overnight accommodation for guests is offered at the motel, hotel or Bed ‘n Breakfast.

The yard work is done for you, but, of course you can beautify your home with flowers or build a snowman if you like. If you still have a yen to have a garden, plots are available.

For your convenience you have the option to fill out the application, and submit it to the address below.
