Our staff at the Mennonite Nursing Home is committed to holistic care of our residents by providing loving, compassionate physical and emotional care and by nurturing the spiritual through daily devotions, prayer at mealtimes, Bible readings and arranging for special services/programs.
LONG TERM CARE
The Mennonite Nursing Home is a 68 bed long term care facility that provides 24-hour nursing care to assist residents in all activities of daily living. As a Christian home, we seek to serve the residents in the spirit of Christ, and to treat them with dignity, respect, and understanding. We are committed to providing residents with a comfortable, homelike atmosphere, excellent care, enjoyable activities, good food, and friendship. Each resident has a private room and bathroom.
Eligibility for long term care placement is determined by Home Care Assessors and includes a comprehensive assessment process. For more information on eligibility please contact the Saskatoon Health Region’s Home Care Office at 306-232-4305.

RESPITE ROOM
The Mennonite Nursing Home has one room available for respite care. This service is provided as a short-term stay for residents whose caregivers need respite from caring for a loved one. The respite room can be booked for stays as short as two weeks to a maximum of 60 days. The person entering respite must have a home to return to. The respite room is booked on a first-come first-served basis and can be done through the Director of Care (306-232-4861).
VOLUNTEERS
Our volunteers make special events possible. The spiritual lives of our residents are strengthened by the ongoing Sunday morning services that are provided by individuals or groups of individuals from local and surrounding area churches. Volunteers are also needed to provide one on one companionship, visiting, or reading to the residents and assist with other social activities. If some of these opportunities appeal to you, or if you have skills/talents that could enrich the lives of our residents please contact our office or recreational department. (Read more information about Volunteers under the “Departments” tab on this site).
CHARITABLE DONATIONS
The Mennonite Nursing Home has a registered charitable donations fund used for the purchase of special equipment designed to improve the lives of the residents. Donations for this ongoing fund are always welcome.
